Lisa Danesin

Lisa was born in Victoria and grew up on Vancouver Island. The stunning beauty of the Canadian West Coast has been a constant presence in her life, and greatly influences her paintings. Lisa always knew that making art would be an important part of her life. This led to a BFA at the University of Victoria, where she specialized in drawing, printmaking, and art education. She spent many years teaching art in Victoria. She now divides her time between her web site design business and her fine art.

Although Lisa's first love is her highly representational watercolour botanical painting, in recent years she has embraced the bolder language of acrylics. In this medium she has developed a unique and whimsical style.

Lisa's paintings and drawings are in collections in Western Canada, the United States and the UK.

Lisa's work is available for sale at The Old School House Arts Centre in Qualicum, as well as at the Nanaimo Art Gallery and at Gallery 223 (also in Nanaimo).

She is an Active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, and is a founding member of the TOSH10 artists cooperative in Qualicum.
