I find the actual process of painting can be very playful one moment and very intense and focused another. Timeless moments when all else pales. This can be quite in contrast to all of the time spent thinking, looking and preparing, before I am ready to pick up the brushes.
Just about anything my eyes and soul find beautiful inspires me and any and all parts of this creative process bring me a great deal of pleasure. I like to think I convey some of this to my audience.
My early training began in art school and has continued through any avenue available to me, including traveling parts of this fascinating world. I now have my home studio in Nanaimo, overlooking beautiful gardens with ocean and mountain views. This setting offers daily artistic inspirations.
As an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists I have shown my paintings in Nelson, Vancouver and now Nanaimo. My art is part of many private collections in Canada and the USA.
