Educated at Sheffield College of Art and Lincoln Teachers' Training College in England, she taught art in the British equivalent of high school before coming to Canada in 1968. Here, she studied etching, lithography, typography, illustration, and graphic design. In 1976 she opened her own printmaking studio, producing mainly etchings and lithographs.
A suite of four sepia etchings were published by Canadian Native Prints in 1981.
She taught first year printmaking at Fraser Valley College (now the University College of the Fraser Valley) from 1987 to 1991 and for several years during the mid-1980s, she ran her own screenprinting and graphic design business. In 1987, she joined a large Surrey-based screenprinting company as a graphic artist.
Now retired from the commercial side of art, she has settled down to paint (amongst other things!) on Gabriola Island.
Since her 'retirement' in 1995 she has had several solo shows and taken part in many group shows. She is a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, Festival Gabriola, and a founding member of the Arts and Cultural Accord.
In recent years she has won several awards in juried shows, including the Tinyan Chan, SFCA, Award in the 2003 FCA show ‘Changing Light’, first prize in the Miniatures show, sponsored by Gallery 223 in Nanaimo, and one of her works was included in the International Open Juried Show ‘On the Edge’ at the FCA Gallery in Vancouver.
Her work is currently represented in the Artworks Gallery, Gabriola; Gallery 223, Nanaimo; Impressions Gallery, Campbell River; and The Festival of Murals Gallery in Chemainus.
Her work is represented in business and private collections in Canada, the U.K., Japan, New Zealand and the U.S.A.
