SELECTED BIOGRAPHY

I studied art at Malaspina College-University, with Robin Field, Ian Garrioch, and John Charnetski; and completed my Bachelor of Fine Arts at University of Victoria, where I took Printmaking with Pat Martin Bates, and Painting with Don Harvey, and graduated with an Honours Degree in Printmaking / Painting.

I have taught at Malaspina University-College, Nanaimo Art Gallery, Gallery 223, Cedar Heritage Centre and Special Needs Art Program in Ladysmith. For many years I was Activity Director at Canadian Mental Health and taught the fine art programs. I was Activity Director and Fine Arts Instructor at Lakeside Gardens Independent Living Community for several years. Currently, I am the Featured Artist at Tania’s Jazz Lounge / Bistro, downtown Nanaimo, where I have designed a large 3 panel Mixed Media back drop for the Band Stage, and installed seven full sheet framed Collagraphs. I was recently hired by The Nanaimo Art Group, December 2007, to demo Mixed Media. I chose to demo a 3 panel Mixed Media piece. I instruct several private students, including a Special Needs student, who successfully showed in Ladysmith this past fall. I keep a gallery studio space at the Gallery 223 in Nanaimo.

I have enjoyed my work on the Executive Board, FCA Nanaimo Chapter, for the past four years as Archivist.

My work is in galleries, online, several www sites, as well as in Private Collections in Japan, Italy, Mexico, Canada and the USA.
