Judith Madsen has been painting Pet Portraits of "Significant Others" on watercolour paper and canvas for many years. Clients such as Burt Reynolds have stopped by her studio at 223 Gallery in Nanaimo. Burt Reynolds purchased a painting of a dog named Ruby that reminded him of his happy lab. Judith is one of the original pet and people portrait artists. In 2007, Judith Madsen enjoyed a european art sabbatical. Since then client requests for commissioned work from travel photos have been inspiring and incredibly rewarding for both.
