I was born in a small village in East Germany, immigrated to Canada at age seven. Rural Saskatchewan was my new home. I explored my new surroundings with a keen curiosity and wonder. As the years went by I became acquainted with and lived in all three Western Canadian provinces. Being an only child, art became my language and as time went on, drawing and painting became my ardent passion. Following training as a Registered Nurse at the University of Saskatchewan, working part time and raising a family, I continued to paint as time permitted. Taking occasional workshops and classes to develop my skill, my desire to create increased.

Since the year two thousand I have been painting full time, giving full reign to my life long passion. I continue to create to the best of my ability and take focussed workshops from world class artists.

I have an insatiable desire to experiment constantly with new ideas. I have freedom in expressing myself using palette knife, brush and other methods. Constantly inspired by God’s vast creation, people I meet, travel, and strong personal convictions, I am motivated and challenged.
