I have always loved to draw. When I was in my teens, I enjoyed two wonderful summers at the Banff School of Fine Arts, receiving my Diploma in Painting when I was 16. I studied Art History and Design at both the University of Victoria, and the University of Washington. I then completed my Diploma in Engineering Drawing, and worked as a draftsman for several years. For many years I painted only occasionally, , although when I took classes from Stephanie Steele in Sidney, she renewed my interest in watercolors. As I came close to retirement, I took more classes, from Alison Watt in Nanaimo and from Anne Hunter in Victoria. I am now painting again, and finding wonderful challenge and enjoyment in the process.
My paintings and drawings hang in private collections in Victoria, Nanaimo, Vancouver, and Calgary, and in the permanent collection of the Banff School of Fine Arts.
