Jeanne was raised on a farm in the Kamloops are of British Columbia.
She moved to Victoria to attend UVic and pursue a teaching career In the early '70s.
In 1982 she moved with her family to a farm in the Cowichan Valley where she directed her energies too running a farm as well as painting.
her favourite subjects are animals, people and really anything with good light/dark contrast.
Jeanne has attended many workshops to improve her techniques and understanding of the art making process.
Some of her favourite teachers are Judi Betts, Linda Doll, Carla O'Connor, Gerald Brommer and Judi Morris.
Jeanne works in Acrylic, Pastel, Oil and watercolour.
Jeanne is an Active member of the Federation of Canadian Artisto, a signature member of the Northwest Watercolor Society and a signature member of the Pastel Artists of Canada.
The study of all the facets of art, from techniques of applying the mediums to learning color theory and "rules" take a lifetime.
It is not for the faint of heart.
Once a good understanding of the above then the challenge is to put oneself into the art piece.
