This is a workshop for beginner and intermediate painters who wish to expand their knowledge of oil & acrylic painting techniques while enhancing their perception and creative visualization. Dominik will introduce colour exercises based on three primary colours and white to introduce students to colour mixing and achieving unlimited colour harmonies He will also expand on several colour contrast principals, which are bases for successful painting He will inspire your creativity with his travel stories and slide presentations. He will also dedicate time to demonstrating approaches to sketching and painting outside, where the aim is to capture the essence of the subject matter. In your painting activities, you will be encouraged to create simultaneous dialogue between artistic creativity and environmental awakening.
MATERIAL LIST: PAINTING WITH OILS AND ACRYLICS
PAINTS: - 150 ml tubes
Only 3 primary colours
Cadmium yellow lemon
Quinacridone Red
Phthalo Blue
Plus Titanium white
Use professional quality paints for colour quality and intensity. NO BLACK
BRUSHES: Size variation of:
Bristle filbert
Flat brushes
Round bristle brush
Palette knife
MEDIUMS:
Walnut oil ( non toxic ) for indoor painting
Also you can buy many choices of premade oil mediums in art supplies stores.
For brush cleaning indoors - non toxic TURPENOID
For acrylic use - Polymer medium
GROUNDS:
Size is personal choice.
I recommend 12 “ x 16” or 11” x 14” boards for colour exercises.
Primed painting service with acrylic gesso.
Examples: Masonite board, PDF board, Canvas board,Heavy paper primed with acrylic gesso
EXTRAS:
Paper towels
Palette: Disposable wax palette 12” x 16”, glass, etc.
Also a sealable box to put your used acrylic pallet in.
Small metal jars for medium and brush cleaner.

also bring empty metal container to collect and bring out your dirty turps, etc.,
plastic shopping bags to collect your dirty rags to bring out.
