Penny will discuss and demonstrate ways to explore the use of traditional drawing materials like pencil, charcoal and conte as well as a variety of other materials (tissue paper, gel, paper elements, moulding paste, etc.) in acrylic paintings to create detail, texture, and translucency and how such effects can help create mood, emotion or dramatic effects.
