DOMINIK MODLINSKI - PAINTING JOURNEYS
Dominik Modlinski will be presenting a talk and video presentation of
his painting journeys around the world, including Canada.
Born in Warsaw Poland, Dominik immigrated to Canada at age 17, already trained in printmaking and design. He studied fine arts at the Ontario College of Art in Toronto graduating with honours in 1993.
Drawn to the Canadian wilderness, he has painted the Algoma region of northern Ontario, the Yukon wilderness, British Columbia landscapes and wilderness in various locations around the globe. He returns frequently to his isolated cabin in the northern village of Atlin, BC and when not travelling has his home studio in Nanaimo.
Domink’s paintings are in several galleries throughout Ontario, Alberta.
BC, South Africa and the USA. He is also devoted to his filming and creating his ongoing television series “CHANGING LANDSCAPES” that was running on the Shaw channel.
His second passion is martial Arts and holds a rank of 5th degree black belt in Karate.
