"The Why of It... At the start of any piece I have something in mind - usually a phrase or a quote or perhaps music lyrics and that's it. No more thinking. Colours - warm or cool, bright or dull, light or dark. Many marks later something emerges - 3 hours have passed. A great way to spend the afternoon."
