Artist Bio:

Linda Chad is an award winning artisit living in Parksville, BC. Born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Linda has been painting for more than 35 years. Her brightly coloured, whimsical style has captured the vastness of the prairie skies and the magic of the West Coast while embracing the unique movement of each individual place.

Linda's landscapes, seascapes and cityscapes are bright and cheerful - indicative of who Linda is as a person. She finds joy in small wonders and paints what she sees and feels often returning to her source of inspiration several times as she works though a canvas.

Although Linda now lives in Parksville, she returns to see her son in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan often. Each visit to the prairies provides a renewed opportunity to see the beauty that surrounds us all, wherever we may go.

Artist Statement:

Art is personal and a true reflection of who we are. Therefore, whatever my muse, my creation process takes thought, clarity and purpose. My frame of mind must be in the right space to create successfully. I know I have done a good job when I am excited at seeing the piece come together.
