Artist’s Bio

Susanne was born and raised in Ontario and now lives on Vancouver Island, BC, where she paints daily in her home studio. Her medium is acrylic. Currently she is working on wildlife and pet portraits, and returns to still life and scenery. Commission work is available on request. Susanne has donated various pieces of art to charities and fundraising events within her community.

Training and Education:

Susanne has studied under Canadian artists Nicholas Pearce, Cindy Mawle, Robyn Foster (ongoing) and Marilyn Ridsdale

She attended art courses at “Three Schools of Art” in Toronto

Artist Statement:

The paint brush is the tool I use to tell the story of a landscape, abstract, or beloved pet. I strive to capture the mood or personality of my subjects and to create a painting that you will cherish forever. I emphasize detail in my paintings and bring the subject to life. You will have an original work of art for years to come, preserving and creating your memories. I capture a feeling or that fleeting moment in time using light, shadow and colour.

I have a passion for art that has enabled me to present a palette of different styles allowing you the luxury of purchasing your very own "Island" original.
