Description: Hue and Havoc: Acrylic Adventures in Landscape
Instructor: Perry Haddock
Perry Haddock is a West coast artist known for his colourful, energetic acrylic landscapes that capture both the spirit of place and the joy of painting.
A senior signature member (SFCA) of the Federation of Canadian Artists, Perry spent many years as a high school teacher and counsellor before following his passion for art full-time.
From the rugged shores of B.C. to far-flung destinations gathered from his travels, Perry’s signature style always shines through: bold colours, spontaneous brushwork, and a sense of freedom that draws people in. It’s that same energy and openness that make his workshops so popular—welcoming artists to experiment, take risks, and find their own voice.
Perry paints from his home studio in Surrey, B.C., where he lives with his wife, Rene. When they’re not in the studio, they’re often off visiting family and friends in Europe and the UK, or exploring new corners of the world. Past adventures in Central America, China, and Canada’s East Coast have filled his mind—and his sketchbooks—with a lifetime of inspiration.
His work can be found in private collections across Canada, Europe, China, Australia, and the U.S., and he’s proud to be represented by several galleries throughout Western Canada.
